Gujarat has a long historical and cultural tradition. Gujarat is Situated on the western part of the Indian sub-continent, Gujarat gets its name 'Gujaratta', i.e. the land of Gurjars. The Gurjars passed through the Punjab and settled in some parts of Western India, which came to be known as Gujarat. According the Hindu epics Lord Krishna and his brother Balaram left Mathura to settle on the west coast of Saurashtra at Dwarka. Which is knows as ' Kushasthali '.
