Divya Khosla Kumar slams ‘sexist’ critics
Divya Khosla Kumar Slams ‘sexist’ Critics (The Times of India)

Divya Khosla Kumar’s latest directorial offering, ‘Sanma Re’ starring Pulkit Samrat, Yami Gautam and Urvashi Rautela, might not have struck the right cords with critics, but the actress-turned-filmmaker refuses to accept any criticism based on her personal relationships. In an interview with MissMalini.com, Divya expressed regret at comments allegedly centred on her marriage and struck back saying that just because she’s married to a successful businessman, does not mean she’s a trophy wife. She further added in the same interview that claims of her wasting her husband’s money by making films like ‘Yaariyan’ and ‘Sanam Re’ are not only unnecessary but also untrue, since both films have been made on “meager budgets” and proven to be profitable ventures. Divya then went on to say how she’s happy to get constructive criticism, but is sad to see the sexist mindset of critics who judge her based on her personal relationships.
